We utilize Nikon Optical Equipment to measure elevations and centerlines with extreme precision. This state-of-the-art tool isn’t just for alignment; we can use it for various applications, including alignments on tires, trunnions, Johnson joint flange runouts, and ring gear alignments. The result? Smoother running equipment and faster completion times.
During the optical alignment process, we precisely determine the elevation of each trunnion, pinion gear, feed end, and discharge end centers. We then compare this data with the original installation drawings to assess how the unit or the ground might have shifted over time. Based on this analysis, we realign the dryer/kiln and the trunnions/rollers to their original targeted positions.
This approach extends the life of the equipment by minimizing vibration and wear on the bearings and components. Aligning the trunnions in their correct locations also reduces stress on the shell, helping to prevent cracking due to fatigue and misalignment.
Upon completion of an optical alignment, we provide a detailed report and a CAD drawing, equipping you with valuable information that you can refer to and maintain for years to come.
